Yesterday was the first day of Hurricane Season in Clearwater, Florida which officially runs from June 1st to November 1st. It's easy when you live here to get a little lax about Hurricane Preparedness. I must confess I hadn't fully re-stocked our supplies and then what happens the first day of hurricane season - Tropical Storm Barry reminds us that if you are a home owner in the Tampa Bay area you can't afford to put your head in the sand - get prepared now!
